Flexible Account

 

Introduction
This is an interest-bearing account. Currencies available for the account currently include: GBP, USD, EUR and RMB. A cheque book can be ordered at the time of opening the account without charge. We will provide a statement either monthly, quarterly or half-yearly according to your needs. Interest rates are displayed in our banking hall or by visiting our website.

Operation Guide
1. Account opening

Visit an ICBC (London) plc branch to open a Flexible Account.

2. Account opening requirements:

(1) You must be aged 16 or over.

(2) Please bring your ID and your proof of address to our branch. Our staff will help you to open an account.

(3) Valid ID (provide one of the following): Passport, Full Driving Licence or National ID card.

(4) Proof of address (provide one of the following):Bank statement provided by other banks (within last 3 months); Utility bill (within last 3 months. Mobile phone bills are not acceptable); Council Tax bill (within current tax year); Benefit book or original notification letter from the Benefits Agency confirming the right to benefits. (Within last 6 months); Mortgage statement (within last 3 months); Valid Home Insurance (Building or Content) or Car Insurance Certificate.

3. Cash withdrawal:

Carried out over the counter. Customers must notify us at least one day before requesting a large cash withdrawal in excess of GBP 3,000.00. We recommend you bring your ID evidence documents (e.g. Passport, ID card or Driving Licence) with you. (A penalty fee may apply for cancellation).

Other information

1. One document can only be used as one proof, for example, if we have taken your full UK driving licence as your proof of ID, we will not be able to use the same document as your proof of address.

2. Interest will not be paid for balances below GBP 100.00.
