What do I need to send money to China?

You must have an account at ICBC (London) Ltd, and

You must have beneficiary's account number, address, ID number, Bank and branch name and also beneficiary's phone number if possible.

Can you transfer to any Bank in China?

Yes we can transfer to any bank in China as long as you have all the requested information mentioned above.

How much do you charge?

0.2% minimum £4, maximum £50, plus £8 swift charges.

How long does it take for the money to be credited to beneficiary's account?

It should take 2 to 3 days.

Can you credit the account direct from the London Branch?

No we can not do that, it has to be a transfer using the SWIFT system.

Can we draw money from our account in China at ICBC (London) Ltd?

Not directly. You must request a transfer to ICBC (London) Ltd, then we can pay you at the counter against your identification.

Is there any charge at ICBC (London) to withdraw the money?

If it is less than £10,000 there is no charge, £10,000 or more there is a 0.2% cash handling fee.

What time do you open?

The counter is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4pm.

Customers who want to undertake transfers in RMB should arrive at our counter before 2:00pm to benefit from the published daily exchange rate. Instructions received after 2:00pm will not normally be actioned until the next working day and the new exchange rate for that day will be applied. Customers will be advised of the new rate if required.
